Everybody Eats
Everybody Eats
Shwayder Camp always wants to be sure that every camper’s needs are met, and that stays true from the Ropes Course to the Chadar Ochel (dinning hall). Our camp food is Kosher style, universally delicious, and always changing to accommodate our needs. We have a variety items offered at every meal, dietary restrictions covered, and home style cooking that will fill your tummy with love and nutrition.
Kosher Style
Shwayder has a Kosher Style kitchen. In Kosher Style cooking we never mix milk and meat in our dishes and we don’t serve pork or shellfish. If keeping kosher is important to you it is easy to eat the vegetarian option at meals.

Fun Food Facts:
- Vegetarians: At every meal we are committed to serving protein that is not meat. We recommend that anybody who regularly keeps kosher eats vegetarian while at Camp.
- Gluten-Free: We always serve gluten-free options at meals and we keep gluten-free bread and other snacks available to those who need it.
- Dairy-Free/ Vegan: Campers and staff that require dairy-free and vegan meals are well taken care of on an individual basis. Soy milk and almond milk are available at breakfast.
- Snacks Between Meals: Noshing happens: we always keep bread for SB&Js and fresh fruit available in the dinning hall for snacks between meals.
- SECONDS!: Everyone at Camp needs as much energy as possible, so seconds and thirds are made available to everyone.
- Shabbat: On Shabbat we have a special dinner that is always accompanied by challah and matzo ball soup.
